The Flame Within

"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

I walked 4 miles yesterday and I’m so proud of me. I started out trying to walk a mile a day and making it a priority. Each day is a little easier. Yesterday, was enjoyable and something I looked forward to. This is a big accomplishment (for me). All worthwile accomplishments start with small steps.

What is one small step you can take today to be a better version of you? A “you” you can be proud of?

Successful, joyful, and abundant living comes with intentional living and making more “good choices” than bad. Dr. Caroline Leaf states,

“Every decision we make has the potential to hurt us or heal us.”

Small choices good or bad impact us little by little overtime and huge choices impact significantly and proportionally to the choice being made.”

We make thousands of decisions daily. THOUSANDS.

What choices can you make today to be a better version of “you”? What choices can you decide to make daily to be a better version of “you”? Life is a journey and much of it results from the choices we do or do not make along the way. The outcome directly correlates with the cultivation process.

What is God calling you to do today?

  1. Walk a mile
  2. Have an important conversation
3.Search for God (most important decision)
    4.Read the Bible
    5.Pray
    6.Call a counselor
    7.Go to church / A Bible Study
    8.Break off a bad relationship
    9.Step out in faith
    10.Call a friend

God is always pushing us toward healing and all too often we suppress the voice of the Holy Spirit to pursue what the flesh desires. It’s all about intentional living.

Galatians 5:16-26

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”

Friends, We have one life to live and it’s a gift. Let’s live it to the fullest by Walking in the Spirit. Go… Make your life a victorious journey!

Blessings,

Crystal
